Generator Technician- Hull- Permanent 28-30k DOE

My client is looking to add a Generator Technician to it's already successful team as the business continues in a period of growth. The role will require versatility and a strong work ethic as you will be working with a company that works across industries throughout the UK and the World. You will be working with some large corporate clients and alongside a small but dynamic team. This really is an exciting time to join the company and become an integral cog of what the company aspires to achieve.

Reporting to the Operation's Manager, the Generator Technician will provide maintenance, installation, diagnosis, repair and testing services across a range of machines and associated equipment. Our support is carried out at client's premises or at our head office base in Hull.

Key tasks include:

  • Carrying out PPM, diagnostic, testing and remedial works on various Generators.
  • Carrying out client site visits and generating accurate and timely reports. Always with service at the forefront.
  • Projecting spares requirements for upcoming and planned works.
  • Client relationship and ensuring cross department communication.
  • Supporting operational tasks i.e. reporting, quotations, progress reports, customer enquiries etc.
  • Generator load testing and fuel polishing.
  • Installation and setup of generator remote monitoring systems.
  • Fault diagnostic using thermal imaging cameras.
    • Generator commission and installation

Skills

  • A background within Diesel Engines/Generators
  • Good working knowledge of mechanical and electrical principles.
  • Knowledge of the Electrical wiring regulations.
  • A responsible approach to health and safety
  • Flexible approach to working hours
  • Holds a Safety passport/CSCS card
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
    • Full clean driving licence

As part of this role you will be required to work away at times but you will be given notice of this.
