MAIN PURPOSE AND SCOPE OF THE JOB

As a Goods In Manager, you will be responsible for leading and supporting warehouse team to ensure a professional service to be provided in dealing with incoming goods, storage and dispatch service to customers, encompassing both speed and accuracy of the delivery.

DUTIES AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Plan and co-ordinate the incoming goods, storage and dispatch of items in a timely manner


  • To ensure effective, safe, accurate and timely stock management to include space allocation, stock transfer and dealing with non-confirming product


  • Organising and ensuring accurate and periodic cycle counts and stock takes.


  • Ensure quality procedures and team quality targets are strictly adhered to.


  • Work to minimise overstocks and reduce wastage.


  • Ensure incoming product is receipted into WMS accurately and outgoing product is recorded accurately on all invoices.


  • Write & maintain accurate written procedures for all main Goods In control processes and functions.


  • Be responsible for managing & running Goods In department.


  • Perform cycle checks for stock locations


  • Ensure integrity and accuracy of Goods In receipts into the stock management system


  • Produce reports to ensure key critical areas of Goods In are controlled and any discrepancies are highlighted, addressed & resolved.


  • Manage control measures to ensure mistakes, inaccuracies and discrepancies are highlighted, addressed & resolved.


  • Implement improvement processes and control measures to reduce inaccuracies.


  • Implement the company’s Healthy and Safety Policy, ensuring safe working conditions and practices within the warehouse.


  • Operate Forklift counterbalance, PPT in safe and efficient manner


  • Any other ad-hoc projects that may be assigned to you by Warehouse manager.


PERSON SPECIFICATION



  • Ideally possessing a suitable background experience in warehousing or distribution.


  • Have a strong understanding of Goods In controls & management systems.


  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.


  • Experience of lean methodologies would be an advantage.


  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills for a demanding & customer focused working environment.


  • Excellent personal organisation and business administration skills.


  • Possess the ability to work productively, efficiently & effectively with initiative and drive under tight timescales whilst maintaining attention to quality & detail.


  • Possess the ability to lead and motivate the Goods In team.


  • Possess the willingness to learn, improve and adapt.


  • Be proficient in IT – using Microsoft Office Excel & Word.


  • Experience of NetSuite ERP would be advantageous


  • Forklift certification is requited; Pivot track would be advantageous


The KPI’s



  • 100% accuracy for all incoming product.


  • All products located within the warehouse and WMS.


  • No. of containers unloaded.


  • No. of local deliveries received.


  • No. of FTE’s.
