Role Purpose: To ensure the Terminal and Satellite Stores are kept to a high standard of cleanliness in accordance with the Cleaning Audit schedule.

We require the individual to be fully flexible as the shifts operate both days and nights.


This role will include the following responsibilities:
  • Lead and undertake cleaning duties following instructions from the supervisor. These areas will include working at heights, in confined spaced and on or near to conveyor belt systems

  • Undertake routine cleaning and basic maintenance of mobile plant

  • Recording and sign off of areas cleaned in accordance with the site Audit and Cleaning task sheets

  • Ensuring cleaning products and equipment are stored correctly and sagely. As well as completing an auditable log of supplies

  • Monitoring levels of cleaning materials and reordering where necessary- Report any incidents and hazard observations to the supervisor via Sphera

  • Complete all other tasks where trained, as requested by the Terminal Management


Applicants interested in this role should ideally possess the following skills and experience:
  • Previous experience of industrial cleaning

  • General knowledge of bulk handling methods

  • Previous supervisory experience would be advantageous

  • Willing and able to work in a physically demanding role

  • Knowledge of permit to work systems

  • A positive and flexible approach to working hours including nights and weekends

  • Knowledge of conveyor belt systems in desirable

  • A good understanding of Microsoft Office

  • Able to prioritise tasks in a fast moving environment

  • Knowledge and understanding of risk assessments, safe systems of work and COSHH

  • Full clean driving licence
