My client, a global metals manufacturing organisation that has recently opened a new factory in South Wales to support a very lucrative contract and is now looking to recruit experienced Maintenance Engineer's (Mechanical or Electrical) as part of a new Maintenance /Engineering team.

Position : Maintenance Engineer

KEY DUTIES:

• Maintain production equipment during production hours.
• Responsible for PPM, Breakdown repair, fault finding and preventative maintenance.
• Ensure all machines/equipment resources are available to meet business demands
• Improve equipment efficiencies to exceed targets and standards.
• Small improvement and refurbishment projects.
• Work with and Coordinate Contractors.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

• Ideally apprentice trained, must hold formal qualifications in Mechanical, Electrical or other related Engineering disciplines.
• Good understanding and knowledge of PLC, Hydraulic and Pneumatic systems
• Demonstrate an understanding of Continuous Improvement methodologies such as 5s, SMED and TPM.
• Experience of working to PPM schedules is preferred.
