Stafforce Managed Services are pleased to be offering the opportunity for TUG Drivers to work on The Port of Hull. We are expanding our team and looking for drivers on an ongoing basis to work flexibly across the ports.
These are currently being offered on a casual basis, however for the right candidates there is the potential of going permanent.
This role is purely port based, so no long distance driving required. If you are no longer wanting nights away from home this role will be perfect for you.
We have 12 hour day, night and weekend shifts available 06:00-18:00 and 18:00-06:00
Tug driver duties will include:
- Safe movement of containerised cargo from vessel to store.
- Movement of containers to fulfill customer requirements.
- Tally of containers being charged and discharged to and from vessels.
- Assist other service areas including traffic management.
- Assisting with handling, charging, and discharging cargo.
- Live and breathe a safety first culture with confidence to identify and report potential risks.
Successful candidates will have:
- HGV1 (C+E) Licence or Tug Certification.
- Previous experience of Tug / Shunting / HGV1 driving will be a distinct advantage, however not essential.
- Full Driving Licence is essential.
- Be willing to work shifts – Flexibility is key.
- Willingness to contribute to other duties within the terminal.
- Strong communication skills.
- ‘Can do’ attitude.
